104.3 WOMC presents: SQUEEZE on Sunday November 26, 2017 at 7 pm at the Royal Oak Music Theatre.

It's 1973 in South London. Teenage friends Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook form the band that will see them dubbed 'The New Lennon and McCartney'. Over 35 years later, with their legacy intact and as vital as it has ever been, Squeeze are still touring and reminding fans worldwide just why they have left such an indelible impression on the UK's music scene.
SQUEEZE: SQUEEZE are a classic English pop band. From their formation in 1974 to their latest tour in 2007, they have created some of the most memorable and most loved songs of any generation of songwriters.

With a perfect combination of Chris Difford's lyrics and Glenn Tilbrook's melodies, they produced classics such as Tempted, Some Fantastic Place, Up the Junction, Labelled With Love... the list goes on and on...

From a meeting after an advert in a South-London sweet shop window to selling out Madison Square Gardens, SQUEEZE produced perfect pop music on album after album. Despite changing line-ups and changing fashions, SQUEEZE wrote music that touched millions. Whether joined by original keyboardist Jools Holland, soul vocalist Paul Carrack or multi-instrumentalist Don Snow, Difford and Tilbrook songs have stood the test of time. Compared variously with The Beatles, The Kinks and The Small Faces, their carefully crafted, inventive songs are utterly timeless.

Their new live album Five Live is released on catalogue number LVRCD001 on Squeeze's new label, Love Records.
